Enhanced Privacy Protection for Peace of Mind
While Social Security numbers (SSNs) were once a secure and convenient way
of organizing member information, recently SSNs have become a gateway
to personal information. To further protect your personal information, Dean
Health Plan is converting all member ID numbers to unique identifiers, eliminating
the use of SSNs. This conversion will increase your financial, health
and personal security both within the
healthcare system and beyond.
Many of you have already received your new ID card with your unique ID number. If you have not yet received your new ID card, you will when your group renews. You can find your group renewal date on your ID card.
