Palmer, P.Eng.; President and CEO I am pleased to announce that Dean Health Plan has successfully maintained our Excellent Accreditation status — the highest possible — from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This is the seventh consecutive year that we have received excellent accreditation!

Dean Health Plan must undergo an accreditation survey every three years to evaluate our compliance with the rigorous NCQA standards and guidelines. This was completed with an on-site visit by the NCQA survey team in March 2007. As a result of the on-site survey, combined with the off-site evaluation, Dean Health Plan attained compliance on all standards.

Throughout 2007, Dean Health Plan will be sending all members a Health Insurance Benefits Summary. This is a one-page document that highlights member benefits in an easily readable format. This document is intended to give you a general idea of your benefits without sending a full schedule of benefits.
