Customer Care Navigation Service

Photo of telephoneThe Dean Health System is a large organization that can sometimes seem overwhelming to navigate. Unsure about which specialist you need to see? Having trouble getting an appointment? For these access issues and more, Dean Health System recently launched the Customer Care Navigation Service, which is staffed by Dean registered nurses.

The Navigator better assesses members’ needs and will refer them to the correct specialist. If the issue is the inability to get a timely appointment, the Customer Care Navigator can directly address the issue with a department or in some cases educate members on what a reasonable amount of time is for their need or condition.

This program will also be helpful for new members. When first accessing the Dean Health System, new members can speak with a navigator to determine which primary care practitioner or specialist would best meet their needs. “The new system is working really well,” says Debra Heinreich, director of customer service for Dean Health Plan. “We want to eliminate confusion and aim for happy, healthy, satisfied members.”
