Health Insurance Benefits Summary

Starting this spring and continuing as Dean Health Plan (DHP) subscribers renew their policy, most policyholders will receive a Health Insurance Benefits Summary (HIBS) in the mail. This document was developed in response to customer feedback about difficulties finding and understanding key information about coverage. The HIBS provides an overview of coverage, summarizing your benefits in a one-page, easy-to-use format. For simplicity, the summary does not include all information about the provisions of each plan. Instead, it keys in on those areas that are of greatest significance to members, such as deductibles, coinsurance and prescription drug copayments.
