Are You Connected Yet?

Photo of couple using laptopDean Health Plan’s member portal, DeanConnect, offers a world of online conveniences to our members. DeanConnect allows you to view your personal healthcare coverage information at your convenience, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What Can I Do With DeanConnect?
DeanConnect lets you:

  • Review claims information and status
  • Print claims itemizations, or Explanations of Benefits (EOBs)
  • Order new ID cards
  • Check the status of authorizations and referrals
  • Change your primary care practitioner
  • View benefits coverage, copayment and deductible information
  • View pharmacy claims and prescription costs, and calculate pharmacy copayments (Some groups do not have this option.)
  • Locate a provider

How Do I Get Started?
It’s easy to take advantage of this service. Just follow these steps:

  1. Visit www.deancare.com, choose “Dean Health Plan,” then click on the DeanConnect icon.
  2. Choose the “Member portal.”
  3. On the member log-on page, choose “New Member” in the lower left-hand corner.
  4. Fill out and submit the required information.
  5. To ensure confidentiality, we will then send you a user ID and password in the mail.

Once you receive your user ID and password, you will have secure access to your benefits information. After your first logon, DeanConnect will require you to select a new password. Please keep your password confidential. This is important to the security of your personal information.

Who Can Use DeanConnect?
Most Dean Health Plan members are eligible for online access to their own information. Currently, those members who have Medicare-supplement plans are not eligible for access to DeanConnect due to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and state regulations. Those members should call Customer Service if they have questions about their insurance benefits.

You are able to access only your own information and information regarding your dependent children younger than age 14. Due to privacy laws, all members older than age 14 must register to obtain their own user ID and password.

Who Do I Contact if I Have Questions?
Dean Health Plan Customer Service is available Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 608-828-1301 or 800-279-1301.
